With time the gums and bone supporting the denture shrink, and the dentures become lose. Traditionally we would add a material to the denture base in the mouth, let it set, then send it away for a few days, to add fill in the spaces where the denture no longer fits. Its returned with the same teeth, and a slightly thicker base and hopefully an improved fit. With 3D scanning you retain your original denture, while a new one is make that fits better, looks fresher, and you retain the original as a spare. Effectively, 241.

The process used for over 50 years is technique sensitive and new denture teeth are added to the copy of the gum making the bite change. The 3D printing replicates the teeth and gum, and therefore the fit and bite are identical

As a straight copy, current experience is no adjustments are required. The dentures are identical, they just look cleaner and fresher

Its very rare to need an adjustment. Most dentists will have the standard VITA shade guide for the teeth, and some shades fro the gum. Click here for shades. A2, and B2 are the most common.Shades 1 are the lightest. You can have lighter shades, but they look like dentures .

Please follow the instructions. It is identical, and the only external factor is the moisture of your mouth. They will not fit better, they will fit the same, but just look better. For a better fit you need to have a denture reline, and that need support by the dentist who can also inspect the health of your mouth, and scan the denture after the impression material has been added. Then you have your orriginal denture returned, and the new denture will arrive in the post in around a week. So you do not have to go without your dentures for a few days as is the current situation with traditional denture reline techniques.Just like people with teeth, you should inspect the condition inside your mouth monthly.If there is an issue we can’t resolve, you can return the denture for a full refund as long as you inform us within a week of recieving the denture.
